I’m Khursaid Ansari, a Security Researcher with a strong foundation in computer engineering, threat intelligence, and digital forensics. I hold a Master’s in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance and currently work as a Security Engineer at Amazon, with hands-on experience in security automation, vulnerability assessment, and cloud security. My focus lies in network security, threat modeling, and building scalable, proactive defense solutions. I am driven to strengthen cybersecurity resilience through practical, research-oriented approaches in an evolving threat landscape.
My backstory
I hold a Master’s in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance from the University of Central Missouri. My journey into cybersecurity began with a curiosity about how systems operate at a fundamental level, which led me to explore software development, networking, and system security. Over time, this curiosity evolved into a focused interest in understanding how systems break, how attackers think, and how defenses can be designed to operate effectively at scale.
I currently work as a Security Engineer at Amazon, where I contribute to securing large-scale cloud infrastructure. My work involves identifying vulnerabilities, conducting threat modeling, and building security solutions that enable teams to proactively address risks. I focus on translating complex security findings into practical, scalable implementations, ensuring that security is embedded into systems rather than applied as an afterthought. Alongside this, my experience includes penetration testing, security assessments, and developing automation to improve detection accuracy and response efficiency.
In parallel with industry work, I have been involved in research and projects at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, particularly in areas such as incident classification, IoT fingerprinting, and network analysis. This has strengthened my ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns in security events, and apply structured methodologies to solve complex problems.
Beyond technical expertise, I bring multilingual proficiency in Nepali, Hindi, and English, which supports collaboration across diverse teams and environments. This exposure has shaped a disciplined and adaptable approach to problem-solving. I remain focused on continuous learning, exploring emerging attack vectors, and building practical solutions that improve security resilience in an evolving threat landscape.
